Vimove Foundation is section-8 Non Profit , through its eco-initiative ALTERNATIVE’24, passionately commemorates World Environment Day 2024 with the theme 'Youth for Green and Vibrant Bengaluru'. This initiative seeks to harness the voices and actionable stories of College/University students from Bengaluru through an engaging video competition. Our aim is to inspire Bangaloreans and citizens nationwide to embrace ecological, behavioral, and cultural shifts towards sustainable urban planning. We advocate for collective social responsibilities and civic sense, recognizing them as crucial elements for a sustainable future. Through this initiative, we aim to cultivate responsible citizenship by actively engaging youth, from individuals to policymakers, in raising awareness on environmental conservation actions. By focusing on creating sustainable cities and mitigating climate change, we believe in a bottom-up approach that empowers individuals to drive positive change at all levels of society.

Whats Alternative-24 : Youth for Green and Vibrant Bengaluru the Challenge About?

The competition, named ALTERNATIVE’24, by the Vimové Foundation, invites college and university students in Bangalore to submit short videos focusing on environmental conservation. Participants can choose from categories like green spaces, water conservation, waste management, green energy, and transportation transformation. Videos should provide suggestions or demonstrate actions within campuses or neighborhoods and be submitted before May 13th. Selected videos will be featured on social media, with winners announced on World Environment Day, June 5th, receiving cash prizes.

Rules and Regulations

Eligibility - All the Students of college and university of only bangalore (PUC/ 11th & 12th onwards)
Language of the video - The language of the video must be strictly ENGLISH,KANNADA OR BOTH
Video Length - Minimum 90 seconds to a maximum of 3 minutes
Video/Reel's Type - Your Words of Wisdom for Bengaluru City under any of the above 5 subjects
Participation Criteria: Min 2 – Max 6 members
Represent clearly name of your Educational Institution or Neighbourhood Community
You need to submit your innovative reels to the coordinators of Vimové Foundation via designated channels before May 13th (Monday) to alternative@vimove.org or to The given Nominations FORM Link
The content of the shared Reel must include the Contest name to be considered as an official submission.

NOTE : Mention Your Name , Number , College , Team Size & Selected Topic in the Email while Submitting The Vidoes

Start the video by introducing yourself with your name, your class, your school name and branch, if any.
Your entry should be in a video format (Mp4). The video should be within 3 minutes of duration, in English or Kannada.
The 3-minute video can feature both the team members or one of you. The main crux of the idea must be explained clearly in the video.
Selection for the next round will be done based on criteria such as – thought process, practicality of the idea, presentation, communication skills and clarity of thought.
If you are selected for the next round, you will be informed via email (on the email ID provided by you during registration)
